About Me
Easy Rider, Godzilla, Darth Vader, the Cold War, Heavy Metal Magazine, Dungeons & Dragons, Boba Fett, Harley Davidsons, Johnny Cash, The Outlaws, Soldier of Fortune, sacred hearts, crucifixes, and tortured saints...all by the age of six.
This was the rich visual milieu that not only formed my bizarre taste and style but landed me in the corner numerous times from kindergarten onward. Since then I've never lost sight of the things that produced my style and made me who I am.
Themes
When I'm not making colorful designs I focus on more personal themes: pain, passion, and suffering.
Hearts, skulls, and saints are a recurring theme in my work. Being raised a Catholic I was constantly reminded visually of the mystic fragility of the human heart, the lingering truth of mortality, and the interwoven passion and suffering endured by some.
